Every custom figure skating dress begins with an idea, but transforming that idea into reality takes patience, precision, and countless hours of handcrafting.
In this video, I'm sharing a behind-the-scenes look at one of my newest custom competition dresses. It is still a work in progress, with every crystal, embroidered detail, and painted accent being carefully added by hand.
The design features dramatic black and gold flame-inspired elements that flow naturally across the mesh, creating movement even before the skater steps onto the ice. Every line is individually painted, and every embellishment is placed to enhance sparkle, depth, and elegance under competition lighting.
This dress is only halfway finished, and many more details will be added before it's ready for the ice.
Creating a custom skating dress isn't just about decoration—it's about designing a costume that tells the skater's story through movement, color, and craftsmanship.
