Why My Double Axel Didn't Work Today | Figure Skating Training Diary#figureskating

It's a pity today I couldn't find the right feeling for my Double Axel.
The problem is that I couldn't pull my right hip up to the height of my left hip, although my axis is nearly perfect. This prevent my legs from coming together tightly, slowing down the speed of the rotation.
I believe the way to fix the problem is to make sure that I hold my edge firmly before takeoff. This helps my hips to come back more swiftly.
Every training session teaches me something new, and what I learned is that tightening both of my legs during the rotation is the essential for the speed.
